Two floors of deluxe dining euphoria and décor with contemporary Stainless
Steel Railings, Food Guards, Bottle holders, ornamental staircase, with
brass cap rail, and other delights, makes this popular restaurant and
seafood experience a place to see and be seen.
The Challenge:
To supply and install a complex multi level curved very heavy duty (1/2” x
4”) railing system with notched and welded fabrication techniques over 700
miles away from the plant.
Fixturing of the stainless steel bottle holders-(Over 2,000 pieces) and the
food guard Rails for the oyster and coffee bars were sold separately to the
millwork contractor, and installed by them.
The design is exquisite and complex. Perfection was required throughout :
cosmetic appearance, fit, symmetry and finish. Timing was important. Over
5,000 pounds of semi-finished and pre-fitted Stainless Steel railing were
shipped to site in Indianapolis.
The solutions:

Fastidious site
measurements were taken and transcribed to CAD for shop drawings. |

Waterjet notching for
appearance and ac curacy were applied to the ˝” x 4” Stainless posts and
horizontals. |
|
Numeric Control Bending and
Rolling were applied to the same formulas. |
|
Prefabricated welds were
assigned for on site finishing. |
|
With about 60 % of the
project pre-finished in plant the whole lot was moved the site for
completion. Two trips of 6 and 7 men and three vehicles with on site
welding and finishing equipment brought the project in with amazing
accuracy, quality and ON TIME. |
