Left, right and center bracket holders
for MR.SUB Restaurants were jointly developed years ago by MR SUB
Executives, their Interior Design Consultants and Gallery Metalworks Value
Engineering and Design Staff.
They wanted an open and highly visible look over the salad bar area, yet a
secure internal work area for behind the counter service.
THE CHALLENGE
To provide a bracket that would suit the entire chain in renovation, and new
stores as well.
Consistency, (sizing, shape and color) was a top priority
To install from the surface of the counter only, or through the counter from
underneath.
To provide a strong contemporary and maintenance free bracket
To allow the glass to be freely removed for cleaning
To achieve a particular color (similar to pewter) and stay consistent with
it
THE SOLUTIONS
 |
To use
a solid aluminum square bar 1 1/8th” x 1 1/8th”
|
|
To weld
the base bar to the angled vertical glass holding bar
|
|
To
powder coat the entire bracket after fabrication
|
|
To
build the angle to suit the glass, and also allow fastening through the
counter from either direction
|
|
To
provide a glass stop at the bottom so the glass could be freely slid in and
out from the top
|
|
Hundreds of brackets have been made to date, all identical for “Chain”
consistency
|
