Gallery Metalworks has continuously over the years added new fittings to
its product line.
Some are developed internally and some by architect/designer/customer invention.
Castings for railings and other architectural Needs are an effective way to
avoid on site welding, cleanup, polishing etc.

Create a proprietary product for a customer
- Stirrups
A customer with an old pair of 1880 vintage Brass Stirrups asked Gallery Metalworks to make custom stirrups from the originals. We now take orders
for two sizes of brass stirrups, (men’s and ladies) and sell them to theirs’ and
other saddlery and equestrian stores.

- Marriott Marquis Hotel
The large 50-pound casting for four way unions for Marriott Marquis Hotel In
Times Square N.Y. were made for only one job. They did save Marriott thousands
of dollars over a pure custom fabricated
project.

Restore and Preserve A
Product-Legislative Assembly - Province House, Prince Edward Island, Canada
The casting shown here was originally a brass ornamental (paper thin like an
old Christmas ornament) end finial for the 3” drapery rods in Province
House, The Legislative Assembly Of P.E.I. (Since 1847). The architect
rescued the best one (ultra fragile) from the restoration project of this
154 year old Heritage Building. Gallery Metalworks made a pattern and mold
for the brass casting process and resurrected the unit for them in solid
cast brass. The reproduction unit was made in three pieces and mechanically
fastened together. It could then be manufactured as one of: 1. a base only,
2. base and mid or upper finial, 3. all three, as shown or, 4. the top only
as a smaller finial. Note that the end finial would fit either 1”,1 ˝”, 2”,
2 1/2”, or 3” tubing. ( or Drapery rod) |
